Reserve 1 cup of the prettiest strawberries.
Mash remainder and press through sieve to eliminate seeds.
Measure juice and add enough water to make 1 cup.
Heat in small saucepan, then add sugar and cornstarch.
Cook over low heat, stirring until clear.
Halve reserved berries and arrange on top of filling.
Pour glaze over all.
Chill until ready to serve.
