Sweet Gingerbread

This soft gingerbread recipe is prepared with ginger along with other spices mixed together with molasses, buttermilk, sugar and flour. An eggless recipe, this soft gingerbread is very luxurious and melts in your mouth!
Ingredients
  Butter/Butter and lard mixed 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sour milk/Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 2 Tablespoon
  Sifted all-purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream butter and add sugar and salt, and beat till smooth.
Add molasses, buttermilk and soda dissolved in boiling water.
Beat till smooth.
Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until light.
Bake in a greased 9 x 12 inch pan at 300F about 40 minutes.
