|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Molasses||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs) (light)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Sour milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Walnuts||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped|
Stir shortening to soften.
Gradually add sugar; cream well.
Add egg and molasses; beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients; add alternately with sour milk, beating smooth after each addition.
Pour into well-greased, floured 6 1/2 cup ring.
Bake at 350Â° 40 to 50 minutes.
Cool; remove from mold.
Wrap in foil sealfreeze.
Thaw at room temperature for 1 1/2 hours.
