Soft Ginger Bread

Soft Ginger Bread is an easy to prepare side dish recipe which you will simply love. I bet, you will surely get a huge fan following for this one!
Ingredients
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 1 Teaspoon (Dissolved In 1 Cup Boiling Water)
  Flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
Directions

Beat sugar and shortening.
Add molasses, baking soda and hot water.
Sift flour and spices and add to mixture.
Add the two well beaten eggs last.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out dry.
Serve hot with whipped cream.
