This Gingerbread tops the list of all the Gingerbreads that I've tasted till now! Serve up this Gingerbread loaves with some sweet or savory sauces for breakfast and tell me what you liked it best with !
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Egg 1
  Molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Whole wheat flour 2 1⁄3 Cup (37.33 tbs)
  Barley flour 2 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Cream sugar and butter or margarine in the Bosch mixing bowl.
Add egg and molasses.
Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
Add to the batter, mixing well.
Add hot water, and stir until smooth.
Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake in a 350°F. oven for 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
Serve warm.
