|Self rising flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Ground ginger||2 Teaspoon|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Light brown sugar||2 Teaspoon|
Chop the walnuts and crystallized ginger finely .
Put to one side.
Cream together the margarine and sugar .
Add the flour, ground ginger, baking powder, salt, egg and milk, and mix to a very soft dough.
Add the chopped walnuts and crystallized ginger and mix until blended.
Put the mixture in a greased 8 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 21-inch loaf pan and sprinkle with light brown sugar.
Bake at 350Â°F for 1 hour 5 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
Serve sliced and buttered.
