Easy Ginger Bread Man
|Self raising flour||8 Ounce|
|Brown sugar||4 Ounce (soft)|
|Ground ginger||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped candied peel||1 Ounce|
|Golden syrup||1 Tablespoon|
Rub butter into flour with fingertips.
Stir in sugar, ginger and peel.
Add treacle and syrup and mix well.
Leave in a cool place for 2 hrs., or a little longer, to stiffen.
Roll out on a floured board and cut into shapes: men, trees, sleighs, reindeer, etc.
Put onto a well- greased baking tin and bake at 375° F for 10 minutes.
When cold, decorate as desired.
