Granny's Soft Gingerbread

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Dark brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
  Cardamom 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Heavy cream 3 Ounce
  Red raspberry jam 3 Ounce
Directions

1. Melt the butter and let it cool.
2. Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy.
3. Combine flour, spices and baking powder and stir into the batter together with cream and jam.
4. Finally add the melted butter.
5. Pour the batter into a well greased 1 1/2 qt. ca
