Grandmother s Delicious Gingerbread

|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Crisco||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Molasses||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sifted regular flour||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ice cream/Whipped cream / applesauce||1 Pint|
Blend sugar, Crisco and eggs.
Stir in molasses.
Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk; beat well.
Spread in a well-greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350°F. for 35-40 minutes.
