Grandmother s Delicious Gingerbread

Ingredients
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Crisco 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Molasses 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sifted regular flour 2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ice cream/Whipped cream / applesauce 1 Pint
Directions

Blend sugar, Crisco and eggs.
Stir in molasses.
Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk; beat well.
Spread in a well-greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350°F. for 35-40 minutes.
