Ginger Orange Drops
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange juice||6 Tablespoon, frozen (undiluted)|
|Sifted flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Preheat the oven to 350degrees.
Stir sugar and shortening until light and creamy.
Put an egg and blend well.
Add orange juice, 1 spoonful at a time to the sugar mixture and continue blending.
Mix flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and ginger well.
Slowly transfer the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and continue stirring.
Add raisins and mix well.
Take a greased baking sheet and drizzle the mixture onto it with a teaspoon.
Keep the sheet for baking for 10-15 minutes so that it is brown.
Let the drops settle at room temperature.
Serve as a snack.
