Steamed Vegetables With Ginger
|Carrots||2 Medium, sliced into 1/4-inch-thick rounds|
|Cauliflower florets||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Broccoli florets||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Zucchini||2 Small, sliced into 1/2-inch-thick rounds|
|Fresh ginger root piece||1 1⁄2 Inch, julienned|
In the bottom of a medium saucepan, place steamer basket and water to a depth of 1 inch.
Bring to a boil.
Layer steamer basket, in order, with carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini and ginger.
Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes, or until barely tender.
Remove steamer basket from saucepan.
Pour vegetables into serving dish and serve immediately.
