German Cheesecake

German Cheesecake or Kasekuchen is a rich and creamy dessert made from eggs, sugar, butter, heavy cream, either quark or cottage cheese and cornstarch. Cinnamon, lemon juice and vanilla are used to flavor the German Cheesecake. A German Cheesecake is different from other cheesecake because of the use of Quark, a light curd like cream cheese, of Central European origin. However, in the absence of Quark, pureed cottage or ricotta cheese may be used.
