Bavarian Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients
  Unflavored gelatin 2 Tablespoon (2 Packages)
  Cold water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 9 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), scalded
  Vanilla ice cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped
Directions

Sprinkle gelatin over cold water to soften; heat to dissolve gelatin completely.
Mix together sugar and cornstarch.
Add eggs; beat 2 minutes.
Slowly add warm milk; beat constantly.
Pour into 1-quart saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until custard coats spoon.
Add gelatin and ice cream to hot custard; cool until slightly thickened.
Add vanilla; fold in whipped cream.
Pour into 1 quart mold; chill until set.
Unmold carefully; serve garnished with fresh fruit.
