Double Deck Brownies

Ingredients
  Sifted all purpose flour 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2
  Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Melted butter/Shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Flaked coconut 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Almond extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Unsweetened chocolate square 1 1⁄2 , melted
Directions

Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs well, gradually adding sugar.
Stir in melted butter; blend in flour mixture, mix thoroughly.
Into small bowl pour 1/4 of batter.
Stir in coconut and almond extract.
Into remaining batter blend melted chocolate.
Spread chocolate batter evenly in 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan.
Drop almond coconut batter by spoonful on chocolate mixture and then spread evenly, carefully with knife or spatula.
Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until very light golden colour.
Cool slightly.
Cut in squares.
