Microwaved Hot German Potato Salad
|Onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), chopped|
|All purpose flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Microwave potatoes 16 to 18 minutes.
Cool slightly, then peel and cube potatoes.
Place bacon in a 2 qt.glass casserole dish.
Cover and microwave 4 minutes 30 seconds to 6 minutes or until crisp.
Remove bacon, crumble and set aside.
Add onion to bacon drippings.
Microwave 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.
Stir in flour and sugar; then stir in water, vinegar, salt and pepper.
Microwave 2 minutes to 2 minutes 30 seconds or until mixture comes to a boil.
Stir every minute during cooking.
Add potatoes and crumbled bacon; toss to coat evenly.
Cover and microwave 3 to 5 minutes or until salad is piping hot.
Let stand 3 minutes before serving.
