|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Citron||1 Cup (16 tbs), finely shredded|
|Cherries||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finely chopped|
|Almonds||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), finely chopped|
|Cake flour||4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)|
Beat eggs till thick.
Add sugar, gradually and beat well.
Add citron, cherries, almonds and the flour which has been sifted with the spices and the salt.
Roll and cut in squares Let stand overnight and bake in a moderate oven (350Â°F.) 15 to 20 minutes until a very light brown.
To make the following designs, omit citron, cherries and almonds and bake.
