German Apple Pudding Cake

Ingredients
  Peeled and diced apples 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Raisins 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  White sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 1⁄4 Pound
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Mix apples and sugar together.
Let stand until sugar is thoroughly dissolved.
Add eggs and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Stir into apple mixture.
Add nuts, raisins and vanilla.
Pour into 8 x 8 pan which is slightly oiled.
Bake at 375° for 40-45 minutes.
If preferred use unsweetened can sliced apples instead of fresh apples.
Topping Mix sugar, water and flour.
Cook until slightly thick and clear.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until butter has melted.
Pour over hot baked cake while still in pan.
