Strawberry Bavarian Cups

Ingredients
  Frozen sliced strawberries 10 Ounce
  Unflavored gelatin 1 Tablespoon
  Light corn syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg yolks 2 , beaten
  Milk 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg whites 2
  Heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped
  Slivered blanched almonds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), toasted
Directions

Thaw strawberries; drain, reserving syrup.
To 2 tablespoons of the syrup, add 1 teaspoon gelatin; dissolve over hot water.
Add to remaining syrup; mix well.
Combine berries and corn syrup; add gelatin mixture.
Divide among 9 individual molds; chill firm.
Meanwhile, in top of double boiler mix 2 teaspoons gelatin, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt.
Combine egg yolks and milk; slowly add to gelatin mixture.
Cook and stir over hot, not boiling water just till mixture coats spoon.
Add vanilla; chill till partially set.
Beat egg whites till soft peaks form; gradually add 1/4 cup sugar, beating till stiff peaks form.
Fold into gelatin mixture.
Fold in whipped cream and almonds.
Pour over gelatin in molds; chill till firm.
