|Sugar||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Fruit||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), candied|
|Almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
Place eggs and sugar in processor bowl and process with the metal blade for 1 minute.
Add fruit, nuts, spices, and baking soda.
Process for 3 seconds.
Add flour; process 5 seconds.
Do not overprocess or the nuts and fruits will be pulverized.
Refrigerate mixture 3 or 4 hours.
Spread mixture with a moistened knife into 1 1/2 X 2 1/2 inch bars, 1/4 inch thick, on a well-greased and floured baking sheet.
Let dry at room temperature overnight.
Bake at 350Â°F for 20 minutes.
These will be hard at first and are best when served after storing for 2 weeks in covered containers.
