Bratwurst Bake

Ingredients
  Cooked bratwurst 6
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Large, peeled and cut into thin strips
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Italian tomatoes 1 Can (10 oz) (Around 1 Pound)
  Canned tomato paste 6 Ounce
  Oregano 1 Tablespoon, crumbled
  Salt 1 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Bottled steak sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Chickpeas 2 Can (20 oz), drained (Around 1 Pound, 4 Ounces Each)
Directions

Brown bratwurst in vegetable oil in a Dutch oven; remove from pan with a slotted spoon.
Add onion and garlic to drippings in Dutch oven; saute until soft.
Stir in tomatoes and paste, oregano, salt, pepper, steak sauce and chick peas.
Heat 3 minutes, or until bubbly.
Arrange bratwurst on top.
Do not cover.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 45 minutes, or until bubbly.
Note—Chill if made ahead, then reheat on grill at your eating spot.
