|Butter/Margarine / oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Ground black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sour cream||4 Tablespoon|
This is tasty enough to serve for company and easy enough that you will want to serve it often.
Melt shortening in medium skillet and lightly brown onion.
Add sauerkraut, stirring to mix, cover skillet.
Simmer for 1 hour.
Drain off excess liquid.
Add pepper and salt if needed.
Just before serving, stir in sour cream.
