German Potato Salad With Hard Cooked Eggs

  Potatoes 10 Medium
  Hard cooked eggs 4
  Celery stalks 4
  Onions 2 Small
  Diced pimiento 2 Small
  Bacon slices 4
  Water 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)

Combine potatoes, eggs, celery, onion, and pimiento, if desired, in a large mixing bowl; mix gently.
Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp.
Combine water and cornstarch, mixing well.
Stir cornstarch mixture, sugar, salt, pepper, and vinegar into skillet.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Pour dressing over potato mixture; mix gently.
Cover and chill overnight.
Spoon into a Dutch oven; cook over low heat until thoroughly heated.
Serve immediately.
