Frankfurters and Sauerkraut
|Canned sauerkraut||28 Ounce|
Place frankfurters in pan of boiling water, cover, remove from heat and allow to stand 7Ã¢â‚¬â€8 minutes.
Remove from water with tongs or spoon, to prevent pricking skins.
Simmer sauerkraut in its own juice 15Ã¢â‚¬â€20 minutes; drain before serving.
If less pronounced flavor is desired, juice may be poured off first and sauerkraut barely covered with boiling water, and simmered 20 minutes.
