Pecan Lebkuchen

Ingredients
  Flour 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Cocoa 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1 Teaspoon
  Citron 1⁄4 Pound
  Candied lemon rind 1⁄4 Pound
  Candied orange rind 1⁄4 Pound
  Chopped pecans 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Black coffee 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Sift dry ingredients together.
Mix half the dry ingredients with fruits and nuts.
Cream shortening with brown sugar; beat in one egg at a time.
Add molasses; add dry ingredients alternately with coffee.
Add fruit and nut mixture; teat well.
Spread 3/8 inch thick on oiled and floured cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
