Bavarian Beef Dinner

Ingredients
  Beef round rump roast/Boneless chuck beef roast - 4 pounds 1
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 3 Teaspoon
  Caraway seeds 2 Teaspoon
  Ground cardamom 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Onion 1 Medium, finely chopped for 1 cup
  Carrot 1 Large, peeled and chopped
  Celery 1 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced
  Parsley 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), finely chopped
  Wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1) Into an electric skillet or oven dab in the shortening and roast the beef till roasted
2) Add in the sugar, salt, caraway seeds, cardamom, celery, parsley, onion, carrot and wine
3) Cover and boil
4) Simmer the meat turning about once or twice till nice and done
5) Using a slotted spoon, remove and keep aside onto a platter
6) Into a blender, pour the liquid and puree till smooth
7) Strain and empty into a bowl
8) Return back the strained liquid and reheat

SERVING
9) Carve the meat into slices and serve with the gravy topped
