Viennese Sauerkraut

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Bacon fat/Pork fat 2 Tablespoon
  Sauerkraut 1 Pound (1 can, 2 cups)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Caraway seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  White wine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Potato 1 Medium, peeled and grated
Directions

MAKING
1) In the saucepan, heat fat and sauté the onion for 5 minutes or until tender.
2) Stir in, bacon or pork, sauerkraut, salt caraway and white wine.
3) Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
4) Add grated potato and simmer for 30 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.

SERVING
6) Serve hot in a flat plate.
