Bavarian Bratwurst Casserole
|Bratwurst||1 Pound (Fresh Ones)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Red cabbage head||2 Pound, thinly sliced (1 Small One)|
|Potatoes||2 Medium, pared and diced|
|Apples||2 Small, cored and diced|
|Caraway seed||1 Tablespoon|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Red wine vinegar||2 Tablespoon|
1.Take the bratwurst out from the casing.
2.Take a 3 quart glass casserole, crush the bratwurst in it.
3.Put onions to the dish and stir well.
4.Secure he dish by covering with an all glass lid or plastic wrap and heat it in Microwave oven for 4-5 minutes at High.
5.Once the pinkness has gone from the bratwurst, mix and strain.
6.Add red cabbage, potato, apple, caraway seed, brown sugar, vinegar and salt to bratwurst mixture.
7.Let all the ingredients cook for 18- 20 minutes at High by stirring 3 times in between.
