Ingredients
  Powdered sugar 1 Pound
  Eggs 4 , well beaten
  Soda 1⁄4 Tablespoon
  Flour 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Anise 1 Tablespoon
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Tablespoon (Scant)
Directions

Cream powdered sugar and butter; add well beaten eggs, and beat for 15 minutes.
Add anise, soda and baking powder.
Work in flour.
Roll 1/4" thick with springerle board.
Let dry over night.
Bake in slow oven until light brown.
