Hot German Pasta Salad
|Shell macaroni||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs), uncooked|
|Onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), chopped|
|Celery seed||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Apple cider vinegar||3 Tablespoon|
|Water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Cook shell macaroni according to package directions until al dente; drain.
Microwave bacon according to oven manufacturer's directions until crisp; reserve 2 tablespoons bacon fat.
Combine onion and bacon fat in 2 1/2-quart covered micro-proof casserole; microwave on high (full power) for about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until onion is tender.
Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper; microwave on high for about 1 minute or until boiling.
Stir in vinegar and water; microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture is boiling.
Stir; microwave on high for additional minute or until mixture is smooth and thick.
Add bacon and drained shell macaroni to hot dressing; stir well.
Microwave an additional minute on high until hot.
