Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Apples 3 , pared and sliced
  Drippings 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Drained sauerkraut 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Boiling water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Grated potato 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Caraway seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Saute the onion and apples in the drippings.
2. Add to the sauerkraut with the water, sugar and salt. Simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
3. Add the grated potato and caraway seeds. Cook 5 minutes longer.
