Lentil Soup With Frankfurters

Ingredients
  Brown lentils 1⁄2 Pound (250 Gram)
  Beef stock 3 Pint (1.8 Liters)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , peeled and chopped
  Carrots 2 , chopped
  Celery 2 , chopped
  Frankfurters 4 , cut in rings
  Salt To Taste
  Ground black pepper To Taste
Directions

Heat butter in a saucepan, and gently fry vegetables until soft.
Add lentils and stock, and simmer for 1 1/2-2 hr, or until lentils are cooked.
Add frankfurters 30 min before serving.
Season with salt and pepper.
