German Spice Squares

Ingredients
  Flour 12 Ounce (50 Gram)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Grated nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Cocoa powder 2 Tablespoon
  Eggs 3 Large
  Soft brown sugar 4 Ounce (125 Gram)
  Clear honey 6 Fluid Ounce (175 Milliliter)
Directions

Sift the flour, salt, baking powder, spices and cocoa powder into a mixing bowl.
Beat together the eggs and sugar.
Warm the honey and add with the eggs and sugar to the flour mixture.
Mix well together until the batter is smooth.
Pour into a greased 30 cm/12 in square baking tray.
Smooth the top.
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C/350°F or Gas Mark 4) for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the tin before cutting into squares.
