Beat the eggs until light and pale yellow.
Sift the flour with the salt and add to the eggs alternately with the milk.
Generously butter the bottom and sides of a 10-inch (25-cm) pan.
Pour in the batter and bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven for about 20 minutes.
