|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Red And Green Colored, Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Stir the 2 cups sugar, eggs, and honey together for about 30 minutes by hand or 15 minutes with electric beater.
Add almonds, lemon peel, citron and spices.
Add baking powder and enough flour for a good rolling dough.
Refrigerate for 1 or 2 hours to chill before rolling out.
Cut cookies with Christmas cookie cutters.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 15 minutes.
Make an icing from powdered sugar, adding water to spreading consistency.
Decorate with red and green sugar.
