|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs) (2 Sticks)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon||1 (Use Rind And Juice)|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Stick)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Peel apples; cut in thin slices.
Add sugar, raisins, nuts, lemon juice and rind of 1 lemon; set aside.
Pastry: Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add flour and milk.
Roll out pastry thin (2/3 of the dough) and put in greased 9 x 12-inch cake pan.
Add apple mixture.
Roll out remaining 1/3 of dough and cover the apple mixture.
Topping: Pour melted butter, sugar and lemon rind over top and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°.
