Sweet Sour Cabbage

  Bacon slices 2
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Canned condensed chicken broth 10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)
  Wine vinegar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1 1⁄2 Dash (Generous Dash)
  Sliced tart apples 3 Cup (48 tbs) (2 Medium, Thinly Sliced)
  Bay leaf 1 Medium
  Shredded red cabbage 7 Cup (112 tbs) (From 1 Small Head, About 1 1/2 Pounds)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Water 2 Tablespoon

In skillet, cook bacon; remove and crumble.
Cook onion in drippings until tender.
Stir in broth, vinegar, sugar, pepper; add apple and bay.
Bring to boil; add cabbage.
Cover; cook over medium heat 45 minutes or until tender.
Combine cornstarch and water; stir into cabbage.
Cook, stirring until slightly thickened.
Garnish with bacon.
