|Cooking oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Chopped onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Water||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Mushroom gravy mix||2 Tablespoon (2 Tablespoons)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Caraway seed||1 Teaspoon|
|Coarsely shredded cabbage||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Potatoes||2 Medium, peeled and cubed|
In large skillet, quickly brown steaks on both sides in hot oil.
Add onion; cook till onion is almost tender, about 5 minutes.
Combine water, mushroom gravy mix, brown sugar, vinegar, and caraway; pour over steaks in skillet.
Cover; simmer for 15 minutes.
Skim off excess fat.
Meanwhile, cook cabbage with potatoes, covered, in boiling salted water till tender, 5 to 7 minutes; drain.
Spoon cabbage and potatoes onto serving platter; arrange steaks atop vegetables.
