Bohemian Sauerkraut And Sausage

My husband and I made this Bohemian Sauerkraut And Sausage together. Can't wait to have this Bohemian Sauerkraut And Sausage again. A winner!
Ingredients
  Sauerkraut 1 Quart
  Apples 2 , diced
  Sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Caraway seeds 1 Teaspoon
  White wine/Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (California)
  Polish sausage/Bratwurst 2 Pound
Directions

Place sauerkraut in a strainer and hold it under cold running water.
Wash and drain sauerkraut several times.
Place kraut in crock and stir into it the apples, sugar, caraway seeds and wine.
Cut sausage into serving-size portions and partially bury them in sauerkraut.
Cover and cook at Low for 7 to 9 hours.

Currently in the crockpot, I could only use 1 pound of the sausage in my 2 quart though. I ran out of room.
