Ingredients
  Sifted all purpose flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Lard 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Well beaten egg 1
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Cream of tartar 2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cream butter, lard and sugar and add egg.
Add flour and salt.
Mix milk and water together and add to batter.
Lastly add soda and cream of tartar.
