German Fresh Ham And Sauerkraut
|Cider vinegar||2 Tablespoon|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), seasoned|
|Sauerkraut||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Brown sugar||3 Tablespoon|
|Caraway seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Celery tops||2 , chopped|
|Tart apple||1 , diced|
|Hot water/Stock||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Cut ham into 4 pieces, slash on edge to keep it from curling; rub well with seasoned flour.
Preheat large Browning Skillet in Radarange oven 4 1/2 minutes, add oil and floured meat.
Cook in oven uncovered 4 minutes, turning pieces over after 2 minutes.
Add onion, celery, water, and vinegar; cover, cook in oven 8 minutes.
Spread sauerkraut in layer on top of meat, sprinkle with brown sugar, caraway seeds, salt and apple.
Cover, cook 8 minutes more.
Let stand a few minutes before serving.
