Pickled Garlic

Pickled garlic is a relish made by soaking garlic in vinegar and salt for a few days in order to preserve it and later for using it as a relish. Pickled garlic is usually store bought since it is more convenient, however, pickled garlic can also be made at home. Garlic is pickled in many different ways around the world and is mostly eaten as it is or added to sauces or gravies for its unique flavor. Pickled Garlic Recipe Garlic cloves are peeled, they may be diced or sliced if desired, cooked with vinegar and an array of spices, some other vegetables may also be used. This is then filled in air tight jars and left in the refrigerator to pickle for about 4 weeks. After the pickling time, the relish is ready to eat. Big whole garlic cloves are best suited for pickling.
