Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chocolate squares 2
  Cream of tartar/2 tablespoons corn syrup 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1.In a boiler, mix the sugar, milk, grated chocolate, cream of tartar or corn syrup and boil rather slowly, stirring until the ingredients are well blended
2.Boil to the soft-ball stage (238° F.)
3.Remove from the stove, add the butter, but do not stir it in
4.When lukewarm, add the vanilla and beat until it creams, that is, until the shiny appearance disappears and the fudge will hold its shape when dropped from the spoon
5.Spread it in a buttered pan and when it hardens mark it into squares
SERVING
6.Serve cold
