World's Greatest Fudge

Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Unsweetened cocoa powder 6 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Coarsely chopped walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Diamond)
  Water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

In large heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and water.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Cover and cook over medium-low heat 5 minutes.
Add butter.
Cook, uncovered and without stirring, over medium heat until 234°F registers on candy thermometer (soft-ball stage).
Remove From heat.
Without scraping the sides of the saucepan, pour into a clean, dry large bowl.
Let stand until completely cooled.
Add vanilla and beat until candy loses its gloss.
Quickly stir in walnuts; spread into buttered 8-inch square pan.
Cut into squares when set.
