Chocolate Fudge Meringues
|Cream of tartar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Almond extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chocolate fudge||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped brazil nuts||2 Tablespoon|
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add cream of tartar and salt and beat until whites begin to hold their shape.
Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff but not dry.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet covered with heavy wax paper.
With a teaspoon, make a depression in center of each and fill with Chocolate Fudge mixture.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake in preheated slow oven (300°F.) for about 25 minutes.
