Ingredients
  Sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Light cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Cherries 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finely chopped
Directions

Combine sugar, cream of tartar, salt and cream in saucepan.
Set over low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Increase heat to moderate, cover and heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
