Easy Fudge Frosting
|Unsweetened chocolate squares||3 Ounce (Three 1 Ounce Squares)|
|Confectioners sugar||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs), sifted|
|Half and half||7 Tablespoon|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
1. Melt chocolate and butter in a 2-quart glass bowl in microwave oven (about 1 minute at High). Stir.
2. Add 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, 5 tablespoons half-and-half and the salt; beat until smooth. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 1 1/2 minutes at High, or until bubbly.
3. Remove from oven. Add vanilla extract, then remaining 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar in thirds, beating after each addition until smooth. Beat in additional half-and-half, if necessary.
