Chocolate Fudge Frosting
|Sugar||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||3 Tablespoon|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Unsweetened chocolate||4 Ounce (4 squares Baker's)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Place the sugar, corn syrup, milk, and chocolate in a large saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking until mixture forms a very soft ball in cold water (or to temperature of 232Â° F.).
Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
Remove from heat, add butter without stirring, and cool until the bottom of the saucepan feels lukewarm (about 1 hour).
Then add vanilla and beat until frosting is creamy and barely holds its shape.
Spread quickly on cake before frosting hardens.
