Bing Cherry Mold

Ingredients
  Flavored gelatin 6 Ounce (Two 3-Ounce Packages, Use Cherry Or Black Cherry)
  Boiling water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cold water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
  Cooking sherry 2 Tablespoon
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pitted halved fresh bing cherries 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped blanched almonds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), toasted
Directions

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add cold water and lemon juice.
To 1 cup gelatin mixture add the cooking sherry; pour into a 2 quart mold and chill till set.
Meanwhile, chill remaining gelatin till partially set, then whip till fluffy; fold in sour cream, cherries, and almonds.
Pour atop gelatin layer in mold.
Chill till firm, about 5 hours or overnight.
Unmold on chilled platter.
Circle with fresh Bings, sliced pineapple, romaine.
Pass bowl of sour cream mixed with mayonnaise and sprinkled with toasted almonds.
