Stewed Fresh Fruit
Peel, core and quarter enough fresh fruit to make 4 cups.
Mix together 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon lemon juice in a 2 qt.glass casserole dish.
If desired, add whole spices such as cinnamon stick, cloves or nutmeg.
Carefully stir in fruit.
Cover and microwave 8 to 12 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
If desired, stir in 1 or 2 tablespoons fruit-flavored liqueur before serving.
