Winter Fruit Mold
|Lemon gelatin||6 Ounce (2 Packages Jello Of 3 Ounce Each)|
|Boiling water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cherry wine||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Blanched almonds||15 , halved (Approximately)|
|Chopped candied mixed fruit||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Currants||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Maraschino cherries/Canned pitted sweet cherries, halved||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained|
|Coarsely chopped walnuts/12 fluid ounce ginger ale and 1 teaspoon rum extract.||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Stir in wine.
Pour 1/2 cup of the mixture into a 6-cup ring mold.
Chill until set, but not firm.
Arrange almonds in a single layer in a decorative pattern on top of set gelatin.
Pour another 1/2 cup of the gelatin mixture over almonds.
Chill again untilset, butnotfirm.
Meanwhile, add spices, fruits, and walnuts to remaining gelatin mixture; chill until slightly thickened.
Then spoon gently over gelatin in mold.
Chill until firm about 4 hours.
